About the event

The winter holiday season presents us with a paradox. In a time when many of us want to anticipate joy and togetherness, a sense of stress and isolation can prevail as responsibilities and commitments add up. The holiday season can also bring on intensified feelings of grief or sadness, which are normal but rarely discussed.

Taking care of yourself can help you show up for others in the way you want this holiday season.

The “Self-Care is in Season” workshop will help participants identify their values and priorities as they approach the holiday season; define boundaries around their time and energy; and create a self-care plan to carry them through the holiday season. The goal of the workshop is to help participants experience the winter holiday season with an increased sense of ease and enjoyment.

This event takes place at Reflection Riding Arboretum & Nature Center.

Forest Wedding

It was an absolute pleasure to work with Kate. She asked us thought provoking and engaging questions which helped us put into words what had drawn us together as a couple. As she got to know us as a couple and individuals, she began to tailor the ceremony so that it best reflected what marriage meant to us. Every time we met with Kate, we left the meeting feeling stronger and greater clarity regarding what our marriage and ceremony would represent.

Kate was excellent at logistical planning. She perfectly understood a variety of traditions and ceremony structures and allowed us the flexibility to choose what best represented us. The ceremony was beautiful and multiple wedding attendees stated that it was the best ceremony they had ever attended. Kate is also the kindest and most welcoming person. She  was our favorite person to work with throughout the whole wedding process.

Mountain Path

“Kate has been such a blessing to my life. She brings her wide array of knowledge and vast educational background to each session incorporating movement practices, yoga, restorative poses, meditations, energy work, breathing techniques, somatic work, visualizations, and so much more. I love that she incorporates the body and energy into our sessions as it gives my body sacred time to process emotions and circumstances. Kate listens deeply with her heart and reflects back what she hears along with nuggets of wisdom and hope that always leave me feeling heard, seen, and at peace.”
